The June 9th X-Factor

To the casual boxing fan who tunes in on big fights during his Saturday night with friends Manny Pacquiao is a God amongst men. To them, there is no chance he can even ponder the notion of losing because all he does is win. While this may be true, the reason for Manny’s continued success does not lie within some fantasy that he is actually from another planet, rather, it lies within his approach to the sport, and the past experiences which have helped shape his career. The Pacquiao vs Bradley fight shoud be another exhibition of Pac Man’s talents if things go as expected.
Pac-Man will win on June 9th, as I had said over and over again. But it will not be for the same reasons that these casual fans believe. He will not dominate the bout simply “because” he is Manny Pacquiao, rather he has 1 and 1 thing only to credit this coming victory to – experience.
Pacquaio posts a record of 54-3-2 with 38 knockouts. He has more knockouts then Bradley has victories. Let alone the fact that he is one of the most entertaining fighters int he sport today, what sets him aside from the rest has long been his ability to take whatever has been thrown his way and almost always come out victorious.
Bradley is young, hungry, and has repeatedly stated that this is it for him, it is his only chance to become a superstar. That type of pressure can definitely do wonders to a fighters confidence. It can have him questioning his ability, asking himself if he really should be here. In my opinion, Bradley has most definitely earned this fight, but that does not change the fact that he is fighting a different kind of beast of June 9th.
Pacquiao has been refocused for this fight. He reads the bible every night, had no distractions during training camp, and refuses to acknowledge any question dealing with a super fight between him and Mayweather. That is why I feel he will walk into the arena on June 9th with a superior mental focus, and he has his experience to thank for it.
