While many are still talking about UFC 148 this past weekend, it's easy to forget the UFC will be back in action this Wednesday with UFC with Munoz vs. Weidman.
Mark Munoz was scheduled to face Chael Sonnen back at UFC on Fox 2 with the winner earning a shot at Anderson Silva, but when Munoz went down with injury, Bisping stepped in and was defeated by Sonnen.
Bisping was scheduled to face Demian Maia on the same card, but when he jumped at the opportunity to face Sonnen, Bisping was replaced by highly-touted prospect Chris Weidman.
Weidman defeated the former middleweight No. 1 contender in a rather lackluster affair. Nonetheless, it was the biggest win of Weidman's career, and now he finds himself in a fight with championship implications.
